Antique solid-silver hanging cross designed to decorate a bedroom, a study or a dining room. This cross comes from Spain and is dated circa 1930 . It is in very good condition and shows off a strong decorative power due to the wonderful silversmith work that boasts and to the great figure depicting Crucified Christ. The cross is a neo-gothic-style piece of a clear medieval inspiration. It is surrounded by a fine silver filigree work; at the ends of the crosss we can see images of the Four Evangelists: Saint Mathew, Saint Mark, Saint Luke and Saint John. The figure of Jesus Christ is delicate and proportioned, being a small work of art full of beauty and charm. Over his head we can see the classic parchment with the inscription INRI. The cross bears a hallmark located under Jesus Christs feet. For its powerful presence and its hight quality, this antique silver cross is a piece worthy of the best collection of sacred art.
