Antique church cruet set made of brass and glass, in very good condition and dated circa 1900. This delicate item is in excellent condition, ready to be used and with no visible flaws or restored parts. It is composed of three pieces: the two cruets, designed to contain the Eucharist wine and the water to clean the chalice after being used, and an oval tray to carry them. The cruets body is made of hand-carved crystal and stand on circular-shaped brass feet. The cruets handles, the rings that connect the handles to the crystal bodies and the hinged lids are made of brass too. The lids are decorated with embossed motifs depicting a grape bunch (symbolizing the wine) and a wheat stalk (for the bread). The handles are really delicate and are made up of slim curved brass pieces that create airy and graceful shapes. The tray bears no decoration, just a fine border composed of tiny spheres that matches the cruets decoration. It has two vertical brass stems to fit the cruets feet so they do not fall while being transported. This antique brass church cruet set is perfect to celebrate Eucharist or to be shown off in a showcase with the most special pieces. Measurements: Width: 23 cm. Height: 15 cm.
