Rare antique solid-silver travel chalice with paten and host box, made in England in 1925. This is a portable set of very small size, composed of three pieces than can be assembled in order to carry them easily. The chalice is accompanied by a paten and a small circular silver box to carry the hosts, so they can be used to celebrate mass. The chalice shows off stylish and simple design: it is made of silver and the only adorn it bears is a Greek cross engraved by hand at the circular foot. The paten shows the same design while the cross that decorates the host box is similar, though slightly different. All the pieces have several hallmarks: each has four marks including a cross with the silversmiths initials, a rampant lion (which identifies English sterling silver), a leopards face (corresponding to London) and a K, which indicates the year of manufacture. Every lover of religious old-time pieces and silver items will appreciate the elegance and rareness of this antique solid-silver travel chalice with paten and host box, a really special article.
