Large Antique Storing Case for Monstrance up to 84.5 cm. 19th Century

Big storing case for monstrance up to 84.5 cm, in awesome condition and with the original brass handle. This item stands out for being so finely preserved: the wood it is made of and the outer and inner covering remain both in great condition. Outside the case is covered of black leather and mounts a series of brass elements such as the handle, the delicate locks and the rivets. They are all original and well preserved, in good working order and there is no one missing. Inside the case we find a solid-wooden detachable piece, fitted at the bottom. This piece was probably added later in order to store a monstrance different from the original one. If we remove this piece, the case can store a monstrance up to 87 cm high. The inner lining is made of bright red satin and remains in excellent condition too.
