Antique Bejeweled Gold-Plated Metal Monstrance. Early 20th Century

Striking antique bejeweled gold-plated metal monstrance made in the early 20th century and in good condition. This piece stands out for its elegant presence and attractive decoration, with embossed Catholic symbols and color crystals embedded in the metal. The monstrances foot is a solid piece with a fine decoration; between the four curved legs we can see a series of images depicting the Lamb of God, the Eye of the Providence and bunches of grapes in the vine. The stem bears a great node with embossed bunches of grapes too. At the top of the monstrance, the great sunburst preserves the central glass capsule (with no lunette) surrounded by cherubs heads, wheat stalks and long slim sunrays. Framing the glass capsule there is a circle of white glass stones; among the cherubs we can also see several red crystals. At the top, the crowning cross is adorned with white and red crystals which create a fine pattern of colors and textures.
