Beautiful Vintage Solid-Silver Ciborium. Spain, 1970s-80s

Beautiful vintage solid-silver ciborium, made in Spain in the 1970s-80s and in amazing condition. This gorgeous silversmiths piece is entirely made of silver, except for the node and the top cross, made of another sintetic material that simulate ivory. The combination make up a stylish effect, that adds to the pieces balanced proportion and engraved decoration. The circular foot is adorned with symmetrical flowers; at the front side we can see the acronym of Jesus Christ, JHS, while at the back there is a medal with a cross and three six-pointed stars. The stem bears no decoration, but just under the cup it mounts a fine ivory color node. The cup bears the same decoration as the foot; the top part of the lid is adorned with a pattern which simulates roof tiles, crowned by a delicate cross, also in ivory imitation material. Under the base we can see two hallmarks and the inscription MASSO. This beautiful vintage solid-silver ciborium is a very special piece, for its fine design and the valuable materials it is made of.
