Attractive vintage Spanish hammered solid-silver chalice made in Spain in the 1970s-80s, with antique French paten and in good condition. This fine set for the celebration of Eucharist stands out for its quality and fine presence. The hammered finish that covers both pieces is a real classic of those times: the great reflections that creates on the silver surface remind us of water waves. The chalice boasts a compact and balanced design, showing off a stylish sobriety. The foot is circular and conical in shape, adorned with three medals containing Eucharist-related motifs: the chrismon (the anagram of the Greek name of Christ), a basket full of bread and a bunch of grapes. If we turn this piece upside down, under the base we will find two hallmarks and the inscription ORIOL. The stem bears a spherical node; on top we can see the wide cup, decorated with a silver cord. The gilded silver paten, made circa 1930, has an engraved cross in the center. Near the edge we can see the French silver hallmark and the silversmiths mark. This elegant vintage Spanish hammered solid-silver chalice with antique French paten is a very special item with a powerful personality. Dimensions: Chalice: Foots Width: 5.51 in / 14 cm.
