Antique Ormolu Monstrance. France, 19th Century

Beautiful antique ormolu monstrance, made in France in the 19th century and complete. This wonderful artwork is in very good condition and keeps the original silver lunette, also finely preserved. The monstrance stands out for its amazing presence, full of handmade embossed and engraved motifs and with the original gold finish. The foot is adorned with the classic Christian symbols, with the Lamb of God at the front, the radiant triangle in a cloudy sky at the back and the Eucharistic wheat stalks and bunches of grapes. These two symbols can also be seen at the node and the sunbursts, just under the lunette. In these parts, the symbols are accompanied by delicate winged cherubs heads. The sunburst shows off a spectacular design, with many rays of different lengths and a central part with clouds. At the top, an elegant cross with discreet embossed motifs crowns the monstrance.
