Antique Solid Silver Rosary and Mother-of-Pearl Beads. Circa 1900

Antique rosary with silver filigree piece and mother-of-pearl beads, made circa 1900 and in very good condition. The rosary is complete and preserves the original silver crucifix, a delicate silversmiths piece with a cross simulating wooden logs and a small figure of Christ. The mother-of-pearl beads are connected by silver links, the filigree piece which connects the rosary and the crucifix being made of silver too. This piece, composed of thin silver threads which create a lace-like lattice, is perfectly preserved and displays an elegant beauty. The mother-of-pearl beads are also in very good condition, boasting a white, polished and soft surface. The rosary comes in its original storing case, made of wood lined in dark red. Inside the case is lined with red satin; this lining remains in amazing condition and looks shiny and even. The outside covering shows slight signs of the trace of time, especially in corners and edges, but it is otherwise complete and preserves the original fasteners.
