Antique Jewish Solid-Silver Yad or Torah Pointer. Judaica. Russia, 1878

Antique Jewish solid-silver yad made in Russia in 1878 and with a fine and rare design. This is quite a singular and beautiful item, both for its ancient age and fine aesthetic. The yad has several hallmarks at the top which indicate its origin and year of manufacture. Just under the hallmarks we can see an embossed image of a rampant lion looking backwards. The central part of the yad is composed of two silver cylinders with a sphere between them. At the top end we can see a crown-shaped silver piece with a ring and a chain. Quite rare and with an attractive design, this antique Jewish yad made of Russian silver is an exclusive liturgic object with all the charm of the most special antiques.
