Antique solid-silver Holy Water Fount in fine condition, made in Germany circa 1900 and with a lovely design. This piece is more than one hundred years old and is perfect to be hung at an entrance or in a family chapel. The stoup is composed of a vessel which contains the blessed water and an ornamental crucifix on top with the image of Jesus Christ and the inscription INRI. The whole item is made of solid silver; at the back we can see a hallmark with the initials JK and a swam between them. This mark corresponds to the German Goldsmith Sigismund Kurd, owner of the company J. Kurz & Co. The vessel of the home stoup is decorated with a gorgeous embossed and engraved motif depicting two cherubs leaning on a group of clouds and flowers. The top of the item is crowned by a silver ring, designed to hang the stoup on a wall. As fine looking as authentic, this antique solid-silver holy water fount or home stoup in fine condition will stand out in the decoration of a hall or an entrance. Dimensions: Width: 2.36 in / 6 cm.
