Fine antique silver and metal chalice, bejeweled and coming from France. This beautiful chalice and paten set was made in the 19th century and remains in good condition. The chalices cup is made of silver, and the foot and the stem are metal. The paten which comes with it bears no hallmarks, but it has been tested and we can tell it is made of solid silver. Both pieces have a fine gilt finish, well preserved. The chalice shows a great-looking design with hand-engraved lobed foot, stem and subcup, adorned with floral motifs. The three parts bear embedded faux precious stones (rubies, topazes and emeralds) which create a magnificent display of colors over the golden surface. The cup has two hallmarks close to the edge, slightly worn but enough visible as to certify its origin and quality. As eye-catching as elegant, this fine antique silver and metal chalice with bejeweled decoration stands out for its good condition and great decoration. Dimensions: Foots Width: 4.92 in / 12.5 cm.
