Antique French ciborium of solid silver that follows a Renaissance design, with a profusion of decorations, and emphasizing, above all, that in the rod of union of the cup with the foot the knot presents form of acorn and that the gland between the knot and the base is very evidenced. The master silversmith has made an object with a clear globular shape in its cup, avoiding ogival criteria. It is profuse in its carved decorations on the lid of the cup as well as on the knot and the base. The first two show vegetal decoration formed by lanceolate leaf sheaths with evident pinnate venation. The lid is crowned by a cross-shaped handle. The base is decorated with different vegetal motifs (vines, rushes, wheat fields and others of undefined species) separated by decorative divisions that converge in the axis of the shaft of the ciborium. The cup is contrasted and its interior beautifully finished in gold. The size is 24 cm in height and 11.5 cm in diameter of the base. The weight of the set is 326 grams.
