Fine antique sterling silver magnifier with hand-engraved decoration and original glass, very well preserved. The magnifier was made in Sheffield, England in 1907 and has survived to our days in excellent condition. The metal bears a series of hallmarks that testifies for its quality and origin. Thanks to these marks we can tell where and when the magnifier was manufactured. We can also see the silversmiths mark with the initials RJM. The magnifiers handle is profusely decorated with a lovely engraved vegetal motive a grooved surface partially wrapped by some leaves that curve at the end. It is an art-nouveau-inspired decoration, a style that was then at its highest. Beautiful and functional, this antique silver magnifier will shine on any work table or desk.
