Magnificent little box of British origin in solid sterling silver, in splendid condition. Profuse in detail both on its lid and on its four sides. The lid shows abundant floral decoration, leaving room in its central space for an empty rosette (no owner's signature); the flanges are topped with a repeated wavy motif, which is present again at the base of the object. The sides show a big game hunting scene with an alternating figure of a wild boar followed by four dogs (three are in the foreground and the fourth is smaller, creating a sense of perspective), a repeated motif forming a total of three wild boars and twelve dogs. The landscape depicted in the decoration reproduces an English country atmosphere. In one of the images, we show in detail the set of contrasts indicating its British origin (effigy of the lion), the year of manufacture (the lowercase letter "b"), the code of the city of Birmingham where the silversmith resided (the anchor) and, finally, his signature. The measures of the box are: 139 mm (L), 45 mm (H) and 69 mm (P). Its weight is 150 grms.
