Magnificent Solid Silver Tureen, made in Spain in the middle of the 20th century. The body is presented on a round ribbed base that ends, both at the end of the base and in the upper area, by a decorative lobed, which is repeated in the upper area. The decoration of this piece is concentrated in the area of the lid and the handles. Undoubtedly, the original handles in the shape of a chimera of extreme beauty stand out. They are held by the wings and the tail and, by means of the arching of the back, they form a perfect curve to act as a handle to carry the tureen. On the lid, the delicate flower bud that serves as a handle to open the lid is undoubtedly the highlight. It is a very original decoration, supported on a base of leaves and simple little flowers, where the bud rises vertically, decorated all around by delicate engravings that make it more naturalistic. This magnificent tureen is presented in perfect state of preservation, without any scratches, marks or apparent breakage, and with the marks of Spanish silver that attest to its location (Madrid) and silversmith: Agruña, possibly belonging to the Agruña Ribeira silverware, located in Madrid since 1884. Perfect for special occasions! Measures: 28 x 29,5 cm. Total weight: 545 gr.
