Beautiful silver jewelry box made in Germany in the nineteenth century. Its beautifully craftsmanship is joined by its intrinsic value, since it has a total of 247 grams of silver. This jewelry chest is a beautiful piece of silverware, clearly made by the finest craftsmen. Its exterior is carved with floral designs in deep relief, while its interior still has the original fabric siding. Specifically, the cover retains a wool jacket surrounded by trimmings, while the box shows a red velvet inside. The overall aesthetic of this box responds to Art Nouveau floral designs, reproduced in symmetrical forms, sometimes almost abstract. The designs of each side are different but they all represent flowers and filigree, while on the top we can see a beautiful bouquet of roses and other species. The metal is in perfect conditions, bright and polished, with that unmistakable and special patina that usually show the pieces of old silver. On the cover we can see the stamp of the silversmith and the number 800. This number means that every 1000 parts of the metal contain 800 parts of silver. The lining in the inside of the cover is slightly damaged. The braid is worn in one corner and it is detached in some parts. This coating is easy to change if desired, but despite its flaws it still retains the charm of the old times. The same applies to the interior, consisting of panels covered in red velvet. The passage of time has affected these fragile materials, but it has not taken away the whole beauty of the jewelry box. This is ultimately a great article, which will certainly highlight the most special rooms and collections. Jewelry Measurements: 100 x 80 x 60 mm.
