Stylized pair of silver chandeliers, perfect to decorate a wide dining table made of a noble wood or maybe an elegant showcase. The chandeliers date from the early 20th century (circa 1900) and are in very good condition. They are made of silver and look as beautiful as the first day, with no dents, bumps or worn parts. Their sober design is really appealing with some lean polished silver parts alternating with engraved nodes. The engravings are finely made and enhance the silver with their delicacy. The decoration is formed by vegetal motives. The engravings depict fig leaves and grape bunches, which appear in line making up fringes. These vegetal patterns mix with classical volutes, very decorative and nice. The chandeliers bases are especially beautiful, quite wide and with wavy edges decorated with the mentioned fringes. The same decoration can be seen just under the candle-holders, and also in their mouths. The fig leaves and some volutes bear a subtle decoration of parallel lines which provides them with relief and attractiveness. Both chandeliers bases bear five contrasts in all. The bigger one is shaped like a pineapple, while the rest depict different gothic letters. These hallmarks are one more detail that embellish even more these magnificent silver pieces, made of a high-quality and valuable metal, whose warm glow will surely stand out in the most aristocratic room or collection. Measurements: 105 mm width (bases) x 170 mm height.
