Antique French L. Duru surveying or topographic level made circa 1910 in really good condition. The level comes in its original storing case, a sober solid-mahogany wooden suitcase with artisanal dovetail joints. The suitcase is in good condition and preserves the antique handle and metalwork. The level is made of steel and black metal and mounts a steel mast which fits into a turned knob-shaped solid-wooden foot. It preserves the original metal capsule with the bubble in good condition, and bears the hand-engraved manufacturers name and city of location: L. DURU INGENIEUR BOURDEAUX. Instead of working with a lens system, as usual, the viewer has a cross at one end which helps the user to mark the measurement points. This original antique French L. Duru topographic level is an authentic turn-of-the-century measuring instrument, still in working order and very elegant. Dimensions: Viewers Length: 9.65 in / 24.5 cm.
