This stunning sword is a weapon, probably for for a Mamluk officer from Napoleons Army , forged in France in 1800. The sword draws our attention because of its impressive curved shape, highly sharp and that creates a very original and exotic design. The sword is beautiful and antique, and has survived to our days in excellent condition. As well as for its curved shape, the blade is also remarkable for the engraved inscription that we can see beside the hilt. The legend reads clearly PRO DEO ET PATRIA, the Latin motto for For God and Country. The weapon preserves the original steel scabbard, with the same curved shaped as the blade and in quite good condition. This piece boast an optimal condition.Measurements: Sword: 33.4 in / 85 cm.
