Amazing antique cavalry sword in good condition,forged in Spain in the late 19th century (circa 1870). The sword is model 1860 and is made of steel, having survived to our days quite well preserved. The sword has no marks though there are some numbers engraved in the cross-guard and the scabbards locker. The blade is in excellent condition and looks shiny and even; on the other hand, the scabbard and the hilt shows a nice patina that provides this lovely sword with charm and history. The hilts D-guard is made of an only curved metal piece with an elegant and simple design. The wooden grip is the original one and is carved by hand, remaining well preserved. Last but not least, the scabbard keeps the original rings designed to hang the sword from a leather strap. As ancient as evocative, this stunning Spanish sword will shine in a good collection of weapons or on the wall of a history lover. Measurements: Length: Sword: 45.5 in / 193.45 cm.
