This is an elegant bone-handled machete in ivory tone, its handle being of lion's shape inlaid with precious stones, possibly rubies for eyes. The historical dating places its manufacture 1891. The sheath was made of natural coloured leather and the tip material is brass, it also keeps the scabbard, all of them in excellent condition. This machete was made in Germany for the spanish troops. Those German handmakers who made the blade used to ensure the quality recording slogans on the piece, such as this one that says "Guaranteed by Otto D. Droop ", followed by their reference number. The length of the weapon is 84.50 cm and 70.50 cm sheet.
