Official saber of the General Staff. Austria. Model 1889

Austrian State official's sword. Mod 1889. Gilt brass hilt and scabbard. The hilt fearures the double headed eagle of the Austro Hungarian Royal Family and the emossed royal cypher of the Emperor Franz Josef I is om the scabbard locket. Most blades are found with Vienna maker marks. This one has a Solingen blade. Weapon length is 88 cms. Blade length 75 cms.
