Antique German Nazi infantry non-commissioned-officers gala sword, made in Germany circa 1940. This is a ceremonial weaponthat has survived to our days in excellent condition. The sword preserves its black metal scabbard, which boasts the same great condition as the weapon itself. The steel blade remains shiny and even and shows no signs of rust or wear. The hilt is a remarkable piece: it is made of polished brass and bears the embossed Nazi coat of arms, a swastika with an eagle perched on top. At the other side of the cross there is an empty shield. The pommel is shaped as a lions head; the beasts eyes contain two stones that look like rubies. The animals mouth grabs the D-guards end, a fine piece decorated with engraved oak leaves. Outside the grip is covered by a brass plate with the same vegetal decoration; at the top we can see the lions engraved mane too. The grip is made of ebony-finished solid wood and preserves the original twisted wire. Fully original and in striking condition, this German Nazi infantry non-commissioned-officers gala sword is a real collectors piece. Measurements: Total Length: 38 in / 95 cm. Blade Length: 32.8 in / 82 cm.
