Gorgeous artillery officers saber-sword model 1862, a wonderful old-time piece made in Spain in 1903. The sword is entirely original from the time and boasts a great condition: the steel the blade and the scabbard are made of shines just like when they were forged, more than one hundred years ago. The metal is very well preserved and shows no dents, deformations or signs of rust. The hilt shows off a beautiful design: it is made of golden metal and mounts a wooden grip. Curiously enough, this sword model does not bear the embossed royal crown at the hilt but we can see it engraved in the center of the blade. The guard bears an embossed motif depicting two crossed canyons in front of a bunch of beams, the symbol of the artillery corps. The wooden grip preserves the leather covering and the twisted wire that keeps it in its place. Rare and attractive, this wonderful antique artillery officers saber-sword is bound to belong to a great collection of historic weapons. Measurements: Total Length: 36.4 in / 91 cm. Blade Length: 30.4 in / 76 cm.
