Gorgeous rare non-identified cavalry sword, maybe forged in Russia, Poland or Hungary circa 1900. The steel blade remains polished and shiny: at the top, near the hilt we can see some delicate hand-engraved motifs. There are four engravings: a horse-riding hussar, two crossed weapons, a plant with flowers and a ribbon with a Cyrillic inscription. At the other side of the blade there is another Cyrillic inscription with big-sized characters; this inscription is repeated at the blades spine. The brass hilt shows off a fine design with a modern look and a surprising purity of lines. The pommel is shaped as an animals head (probably a horse) and the cross-guard and D-guard are straight and even. The scabbard is also an attractive piece: it is made of wood covered with black leather and mounts metal locket and chape. These elements cover most of the leather surface. For its exclusive quality and singular design, this rare cavalry sword dated circa 1900 will shine in the best collection of old-time weapons. Measurements: Total Length: 38 in / 95 cm. Blade Length: 32.8 in / 82 cm.
