Antique American fraternity sword made in the USA in 1900, in very good condition and with its original scabbard. The sword mounts a cross-shaped hilt with a brass pommel shaped as an armors helmet. The cross-guard is made of brass too and bears almost no engraved decoration, showing off a simple and straight design. The tapered grip is made of bone; it is decorated with vertical grooves that make it easier to hold. The steel blade is straight and lean; it is amazingly preserved and shows no traces of rust or wear. The metal scabbard that comes with the sword is the original one and stands out for the embossed decoration that embellishes the locket, the central part and the chappe. At the locket we can see a Latin cross inside a crown; in the central part there is a knight swinging a sword and the chappe contain two swords and a lance tied up by a band. Authentic and fascinating, this antique American fraternity sword is a collectors piece full of charm and legends. Measurements: Blade Length: 26.4 in / 66 cm. Total Length: 32.8 in / 87 cm.
