Antique saber sword for light cavalry officer forged in Spain circa 1825. This is quite an interesting piece for its ancient age and fine design. The saber mounts a curved steel blade, finely preserved and showing slight signs of the trace of time that provide it with an authentic and original quality. The hilt is also made of steel and includes a one-piece D-guard which connects the pommels and opens creating three curved branches. The grip is made of dark solid wood and bears a series of hand-engraved parallel grooves reinforced by the original twisted wire. One of the grips sides is reinforced by a steel piece welded to the pommel and the D-guard. Powerful and authentic, this antique saber sword for light cavalry officer made in the first quarter of the 20th century will shine in a great dining room or a complete collection of weapons.
