Antique saber -sword for light cavalry officer model 1840 made in Spain, in very good condition and with a gorgeous hilt. The saber mounts a greatly preserved steel blade which shows no traces of rust or dents which could interfere in its beautiful presence. The sabers hilt is very attractive and stands out for its careful decoration. The brass D-guard is entirely composed of metalwork geometrical and vegetal motifs, engraved by hand and in perfect condition. On the other hand, the grip preserves with original leather wrapping and twisted wire. The leather shows slight signs of wear near the pommel, but it is almost complete. All these details turn this saber into an amazing weapon, as decorative as fearsome. This gorgeous saber for light cavalry officer model 1840 will be a great addition for any self-respecting collection of swords or weapons. Dimensions: Blade Length: 33.07 in / 84 cm.
