Gorgeous saber for Spanish artillery officer made circa 1850, in fine condition and boasting a lovely design. The saber has survived to our days in excellent condition, being an entirely original item with a remarkable decorative power. The steel blade is greatly preserved and shows no traces of rust or dents. The hilt is made of brass and dark-brown solid wood; these materials make up a fine design. The grip is made of wood and bears had-engraves parallel grooves which make it easier to hold. The D-guard, cross-guard and pommel are made of brass; the metal remains shiny and polished, in great condition. The D-guard is divided in three fine curved branches; one of them shows an ancient reparation, only visible from the inside. The grips base is decorated with two delicate engraved bands.
