Beautiful sword for infantry officer model 1867 dated in 1874, original from Spain and in really good condition. The blade is made of polished steel with a straight and stylized design, showing no remarkable sign of wear or rust though being almost 150 years old. Close to the hilt we can see the inscription TOLEDO 1874, corresponding to the Spanish city where the weapon factory was located together with the date of manufacture. The hilt is made of polished brass and is decorated with hand-engraved motifs depicting shields, laurel wreaths and volutes. The quillon which trims the cross-guard is shaped as a dogs head. All these details turn this sword into a highly decorative piece, full of interest for any collector.
