Fine Central European sword for infantry officer made in the late 19th century and in good condition. The sword stands out for its stylized design, sober and elegant, and for being so well preserved though being more than one century old. The steel blade shows no remarkable signs of wear; at the top, close to the cross-guard we can see an 8 engraved in one of the sides. The other side bears an embossed mark with two crossed swords and two crossed mallets. The mark is in good condition and can be perfectly visible. The hilt mounts a dark-finished wooden grip and a steel bowl-shaped D-guard. With a balanced and simple design, this is the perfect crowning piece for this amazing antique sword.
