Outstanding Italian sword model 1888 for cavalry officer with decorated blade. This sword is finely preserved and comes with its original scabbard. The blade stands out for the beautiful decoration that covers both sides, composed of a series of symmetrical motifs including Italian military and heraldic symbols. The motifs are in good condition and can be perfectly distinguished. The steel hilt boasts a fine-looking design too, with bowl-shaped D-guard divided in two wide branches. The grip is made of solid wood and preserves the lovely original ebony-like finish which stands out for its good condition and shiny black color. The wood has four hand-carved gaps which improve the grasp. On the other hand, the swords scabbard is also made of steel and shows off a fine condition too.
