Striking antique French Lebel sword bayonet, model 1886, made in France in the 19th century and in fine condition. This is an original weapon that can be attached to the French Lebel infantry rifle of the same model. During World War I, the French soldiers named this weapon Rosalie after a popular song by Theodore Botrell. The bayonet-sword that we can see in the images has steel grip and cross-shaped blade. The hooked quillon bears the engraved serial number 59105. This piece is complete and preserves all its original component parts.
