Antique Spanish bayonet model 1913 for Mauser rifle, made in Spain and in good condition. This bayonet is designed to be attached to an iconic Mauser rifle; these guns were designed in 1898 by the German arms manufacturer of the same name, and were used in the two World Wars and the Spanish Civil War. The bayonet mounts steel blade and solid oak wooden grip, composed of two plates with a hand-carved diamond pattern to improve the grip. These parts are riveted to the steel base; the hilt also includes a steel cross-guard with a hole designed to insert the guns barrel. The steel blade is amazingly preserved and looks shiny and even, with no traces of rust or wear. It bears the arms serial number engraved near the cross-guard.The bayonet comes with the original scabbard, made of black leather and with steel locket and chappe.
