Antique Spanish bayonet model 1913 for Mauser, made in Spain in 1914. This bayonet comes with its original leather scabbard, being both in really good condition. These weapons were intended to be used with the iconic rifles designed by Paul Mauser in 1898 and which took part in the most important wars of the 20th century. The bayonets blade is made of steel and looks really great, shiny and even. It bears engraved inscriptions in both sides, just under the cross-guard: we can read the inscription ARTILLERÍA FCA. NACIONAL TOLEDO and the serial number 48840 A. The hilt mounts a simple steel cross-guard with a hole in the quillon (to introduce the guns barrel), grip with riveted wooden plates and steel pommel. The scabbard is made of black leather and bears steel locket and chappe. The leather is in great condition and so are the metal parts. Any collector of old-time weapons will appreciate this antique Spanish bayonet model 1913 for Mauser, a historic piece with a fascinating past. Dimensions: Blade Length: 15.55 in / 39.5 cm.
