Antique and extremely rare Spanish basket-hilted sword from the 18th century, with its scabbard! This amazing piece was made in Spain in 1769 and is worthy of a museum for its rareness and attractive. Complete and with the scabbard, these swords are very difficult to find; so we are really looking at an exclusive and very special item. The blade is made of steel and is in fine condition, bearing the inscription EN TOLEDO AÑO 1769. The leather piece located between the blade and the cross-guard is not original, though the rest of the sword and the scabbard are. The basket-shaped hilt is a gorgeous piece, with bowl-shaped cross-guard and mesh-covered grip. The metal shows clearly the patina of time, a logical feature in a sword more than 250 years old. This patina provides the piece with a greater charm and authenticity, it that is possible. The rare scabbard is made of leather and mounts steel locket and chappe.
