Antique plug bayonet with scabbard made in Toledo, Spain in 1859 and in good condition. This fine weapon is made of steel and the blade is adorned with engraved scallops, finely preserved and clearly visible. One of the blades sides shows the inscription TOLEDO 1859 among the engraved motifs. The cross-guard is made of brass and is straight in shape, with curled quillons at both ends. It is embellished with classic embossed motifs, with the central inscription FCA. DE TOLEDO 1859. The grip is made of dark-finished solid wood and bears a brass pommel. The hole hilt is finely preserved too, just like the original leather scabbard which comes with the bayonet. This piece preserves the original brass locket and chappe.
