Antique Yugoslavian bayonet mod. 1924 manufactured in the late 1940's. It is a museum piece, complete and in very good condition. The bayonet is accompanied by an original scabbard of the period, with its corresponding serial number. The numbers are nearly matching: the bayonet is marked 58339 on the cross, while the scabbard bears the 58404 on a metal piece attached to the leather rim. The bayonet retains the steel blade in excellent condition, as does the wooden handled grip. In the part where the blade joins the hilt we can see an inscription in Cyrillic letters, arranged in a semicircle and accompanied by the number 44 indicating that it was manufactured in the State Factory No. 44. The scabbard is made of black metal and has a piece of leather attached to the bolster to hang the bayonet from the uniform. The leather is superbly preserved, with solid and regular stitching and even surface. This antique Yugoslavian bayonet mod. 1924 is a fascinating and authentic weapon that will stand out in any collection. Dimensions: Blade Length: 9.84 in / 25 cm. Total Length: 15.15 in / 38.5 cm.
