Antique Spanish Valero Jun navaja, folding knife or pocket knife coming from Zaragoza, made in the 19th century and 43 inches long (open). This is a fine weapon more than one century old, which stands out for its beautiful handle and its excellent condition. The handle is curved and has a brass wavy trimming piece at the end, quite original and appealing. The side plates combine brass parts with reddish-brown horn pieces, fixed with brass rivets and flower-shaped details. All the parts which make up the handle are original and no one is missing. The blade is wide and has a curve near at the spine, near the point this design is known as clip point or bowie. It bears the brand name marked in capital letters: VALERO JUN ZARAGOZA. Valero Jun was a cutlery and hardware store which was active in Zaragoza, Spain between 1861 and 1882 approximately. They did not make knives, but bought them from France and marked them with the business name.
