Striking antique Napoleonic sword for heavy cavalry troops model 1896, made in England and in good condition. It is complete and remains in good condition, being a very rare and iconic model very sought-after by collectors. This sword surely took part in different contents of the Napoleonic Wars, among them the famous Battle of Waterloo. In this battle, the Seventh Coalition commanded by the Duke of Wellington defeated the army of Napoleon, so the Napoleonic Empire came to an end. The sword shows a sober and sturdy design which makes little concession to aesthetic, entirely focused to provide a good use during the battles. It is completely made of sword, just like the scabbard, and has black-leather covered grip. The guard is straight and has some holes, being connected to the hilt and the blade by two strong rivets. Overall, this is a sword of imposing presence, truly original and with a fascinating history behind.
