Antique French Dragon Cavalry Saber Sword Mod. 1784. France, 1st Empire Napoleon

Antique French dragon cavalry troop saber sword mod. 1784, made in France during the 1st Napoleonic Empire and really attractive. This is quite a rare saber, an exclusive collectors piece very difficult to find. The weapon is in good condition though the hilts top quillon is missing. Aesthetically, this flaw is scarcely visible; the hilt maintains its beauty and the brass it is made of looks shiny and polished. The grip is greatly preserved, with the twisted wire in good condition. The steel blade bears no decoration and shows very few traces of wear. The scabbard which comes with the saber is made of steel too, and is not the original. It is an ancient piece, though it once belonged to a later model. Anyway, it fits perfectly and is ideal to protect the blade and complete the set.
