Antique French-Grenadier Sword, Model 1764. France, Circa 1790

Antique French-grenadier sword model 1764, made in France circa 1790 and in good condition. This weapon is more than two hundred years old and was forged and used during the revolutionary period and the napoleonic empire which would come afterwards. The sword preserves the original black leather scabbard with its brass locket and chape, in great condition. The handle moves a little bit, very slightly. It is made of brass, with a simple and strong design - the cross-guard, the D-guard and the grip make up an only piece, sturdy and reliable. The steel blade shows the wear produced by the trace of time and use. We can see the word GRENADIER engraved by hand just by the cross-guard.

Historic and authentic, this antique French-grenadier sword model 1764 will surely stand out in any collection or room.
