Rare Cuban machete. Lion's head. 1890

Rare Spanish Cuban machete. Late 19th century. The pommel is a lion's head made of German silver. Was manufactured in Germany for the Spanish market. Lion's eyes are two small rubies. The scabbard carries incised decorations. The blade is simply fantastic. Impeccable. One of my favorites machetes. It measures 89 cms with scabbard, 85.5 cm without, and 71 cms only the blade.
