Morse telegraph station made in England in the late 19th century (circa 1890), preserving all its original component parts. The station is in great condition and fully preserved, with the knob, the printer and the galvanometer in good condition. The morse station works perfectly mechanically but the electrical system has not been checked. Made of golden brass on a solid wooden base, this station is a very decorative and interesting article perfect to become part of a good collection. The station is composed of a series of metal parts, basically made of brass. All of them are well preserved and move fluidly. The main part preserves the original coils, while the galvanometer has the white face, glass pane and brass ring in good condition. The white face bears the inscription G.P.O printed in it. On the other hand, inside the drawer we find the paper roll designed to print the symbols on it and the coils that drive it. At the back of the printer we can see the following engraved inscription: R.A.F. - REF. Nº. 4916 Nº 1 STORES DEPOT WALTERS ELECTTL. MFG. CO. LTD LONDON 2798. (Walters Electrical Manufacturing Co. Ltd) Attached to the top of the base with the drawer we can see the original knob designed to transmit the messages. Both the base and the galvanometer are made of solid mahogany wood, in good condition and with a nice satin finish. The base contains the drawer with the paper roll, preserving the original puller.
