Orga typewriters history starts in 1922, when the company Bing-Werke AG of Nuremberg, Germany launched the first Orga model. The next year they put in the market the Orga Privat, the model that we can see in these images: a somewhat cheaper machine with many of the features founded in more expensive typewriters. In fact, the terrible recession that would come in the following years forced companies to manufacture more affordable machines that could compete with standard models. This striking typewriter draws our attention for its compact design and excellent condition. The cast-iron body boasts a nice black enameled finish, shiny and even, with the models name standing out in gold. The QWERTZ keyboard is composed of white circular pieces reinforced by the classic nickel-plated ring. It is complete and fully functional. On both sides of the keyboard we can see the Bing-Werke AG logo, a monogram with the golden B and W letters. The metal protecting cover is lovely and remains in good condition, preserving the lock and the key in working order. This historic typewriter is bound to show off its sober beauty in the most elegant study or living room.
