The brand name is painted on the upper cover with a simple green and white lettering, and also on the lower part including the model: Silenta. On the front it has a small metal plate indicating the manufacturer. On the inside of the rear area we find the serial number: 753450. Mechanically it works very well and is ready to be used. All the functions of the machine are in perfect condition, it has been revised and writes perfectly. It is in excellent aesthetic condition so it can be used to decorate any room. Since the end of the 19th century and during most of the 20th century, typewriters were indispensable tools in commercial offices, as well as for almost all professional writers. The Silenta model was one of the best known of the typewriters manufactured by the Wanderer Werke in Siegmar-Schönau in Germany during the Third Reich. It is the successor model of the Standart made by the Continental brand from 1930 onwards. Tens of thousands of typewriters would be produced during the Nazi era, the most requested being models like this one, largely due to their quality and quiet operation. This was achieved thanks to the fact that the hammers that hit the typewriter ribbon do it in a very soft way, which reduces the noise considerably. Incredible piece full of history in perfect aesthetic and functional conditions.
