Since the end of the 19th century and during most of the 20th century, typewriters were indispensable tools in commercial offices, as well as for almost all professional writers. The Silenta model was one of the best known of the typewriters manufactured by the Wanderer Werke in Siegmar-Schönau in Germany during the Third Reich. It is the successor model of the Standart made by the Continental brand from 1930 onwards. Tens of thousands of typewriters would be produced during the Nazi era, the most requested being models like this one, largely due to their quality and quiet operation. This was achieved thanks to the fact that the hammers that hit the typewriter ribbon do it in a very soft way, which reduces the noise considerably. Incredible piece full of history in perfect aesthetic and functional conditions.
