Superb Continental typewriter, manufactured in 1935 by Wandererweke and whose undeniable appeal in design and aesthetics, is joined by its perfect operation. The machine has been cleaned and tested to witness its excellent operating condition. Functionality adds to its special design, which makes it a splendid and very attractive piece. Through the side windows, as well as from the rear, we can visualize the complex mechanism that gives life to this beautiful piece of the first decade of the XXth century. This particular configuration is characteristic of the typewriters of the firm, and it adds a special aesthetic value. The black keyboard with white letters is elegant and sober. Some keys have an light patina, attesting to the use and length of the piece. The same applies to the metal body of the machine, which shows slight signs of wear, barely noticeable. Some details deserve special attention, such as the original gray metal feet, curiously handcrafted, and the excellent condition of the screws and internal gears. On the front of the machine can see the Continental brand name, which also appears over the cart. On the left we can see a gold metal and black lacquer plate, which shows the inscription J. C. Pfeiffer - Basel Tel.28.860, which probably refers to the dealer and the city where he resided. Details like the perfect preservation of the ink ribbon or the delicate red scale behind the cart, merely add more interest to this beautiful office antique, perfect to complete any high level collection.
