Elegant British typewriter made by Imperial brand, manufactured in 1916. The design of this beautiful machine follows somewhat the style of the period: sober and functional, its look gives it an undeniable charm. We can call attention to the discrete side windows protected with beveled glass, and through which its internal mechanism can be distinguished. Its elegancy joins the perfect operation of the machine, and all this makes it an object both beautiful and functional. In general, the state of the machine is good; but at the top (in front of the car) the metal shows signs of wear. The black enamel has disappeared in some areas, and there are also light touches of rust. However, these flaws do not detract at all the appeal of this beautiful piece of museum, whose original design makes it a very special object. We must remark the great state of preservation of the ribbon (red and black, with ability to write in both colors) and the keyboard, with each and every one of his pieces surrounded by a thin metal foil, elegantly framing its white background. The brand name appears in several places: the front, the car and the rear. In this area we also find an extensive list of patents for the machine, and a reference to its place of manufacture (Leicester, England). There is also a round metal plate with the number K 4147 engraved. All these features make this beautiful typewriter a real showpiece.Typewriter dimensions: 440 x 270 x 370 mm.
