Beautiful and original Continental Silenta typewriter, made in 1934 following the design standards of time. The openings that show the inside of the machine, which in the models of the first two decades were larger (also appearing on the sides), are reduced in this case just to the rear window. On the front we find another window, covered by a glass that lets us see the levers of the letters. On the glass we can read the name of the machine, in very elegant gold lettering following the style of the 30's. It is an original and elegant detail that adds value to this beautiful machine. The machine is in good conditions and it is also running smoothly. The black enamel that covers the metal surface is slightly worn and scratched in some areas, although minor flaws do not diminish the beauty of the piece. The rollers in the bar on the cart, designed to hold the paper, also have a somewhat deteriorated surface, which is certainly a proof of the use that the typewriter was given in time. Special mention deserves the attractive keyboard, consisting of round pieces with a black background (except for some specific keys in red) and white letters. They all have the characteristic crown of metal surrounding the keys which appear in the typewriters made in the early decades of the century. The keyboard is in excellent conditions and is as attractive and functional. Overall, the design, the age and the perfect functioning of this beautiful machine make it a very attractive object, which undoubtedly will highlight any collection.
